                    AMET University, which was introduced in the year 1993, came into prominence very soon owing to its dedicated Shipping Education for the students. The last 18 years have seen a profitable growth both for the institution and the students as per AMET University reviews. When it commenced, the total number of students were just around 15 but now the number had increased to more than 2000. The institution offers UG, PG and diplomas courses as well. Probably, this was the first maritime university in India, being located in the coastal region of Chennai.
