AMET is located on the beautiful shore of Bay of Bengal at Kanathur, just an hour’s drive from Chennai city. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar and is a state of the art establishment totally dedicated to the dissemination of knowledge and training to cadets and students. AMET university is established as a private maritime institute through Smt.Pattammal Educational and Charitable Trust with just 14 cadets in 1993.
